My daughter and so many kids I love and care for who are her closest friends, crossed the stage last night and had their names and future endeavors announced, as they took their moment with the diploma. I was happy- as a mother I got what I needed from the night. I felt bad for the kids though...who clearly did not get what they needed. They did their best to show enthusiasm and pride.
Here are the memories I managed to capture of the beautiful experience, of my daughter's graduation:

There were many lovely moments that showed people's hearts along the way. But I just wanted to create this short blog today to honor my daughter's commencement to the next phase of life for her.
Today, as a High School Graduate, she is ready for her next steps into young adult life. She has a job where she enjoys learning new things, keeping herself and customers safe during Covid 19 and earning much needed "dough" for college...she sometimes makes pizzas at work.
Ani is scheduled to begin her freshman year of college at RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE in Providence. This was her absolute LAST choice school....but for so many reasons, it has become the school she will start at. With that being said, I could NOT be more proud of her. I LOVE that she will go to her favorite teacher, Mr. Livesey's alma mater, a school where I spent a full year as a transfer student, and I have wonderful memories from being there. A school that many brilliant and wonderful people that I know and love have gone before! This is NOT the adventure that she had in mind...but for whatever reason, she is guided to be here now.
The future is the great unknown.
Go boldly Wizard.
namaste~
